Jargon free learning to build your confidence and creativity with your camera

Ladies SLR workshop - practical camera practice

Are you the proud owner of a lovely DSLR or bridge camera but feel overwhelmed by the instruction manual?  Or have you had a faithful camera for a while but still find yourself shooting on Auto and feeling frustrated that you can’t get the creative results you want?

This workshop is specifically for women looking to build their confidence with their SLR camera.  The session will start with some round the table learning where we’ll work through ISO, aperture and shutter speed - avoiding jargon as much as possible!  There will also be lots of opportunities to put learning into practice through some practical photography tasks.  The overall goal of the session is to help you to shoot using the manual settings on your camera so you feel you have creative control over your images.

The group size will be small allowing each person plenty of personal attention when needed.   There will also be time for questions during and after the workshop.  There is no such thing as a silly question in my workshops so it's a great opportunity to work through all of those niggling problems that you haven't known how to sort.

"Olivia broke the mystery of using manual camera settings down into simple basic steps. Unnecessary jargon had been left out so we could see clearly, and achievably how to set our own cameras and practice to achieve the perfect shot. I wish I’d known all this years ago!”  Helen Goodwin from Made you Look Made you Stare

"I really enjoyed the workshop and Olivia made everything come together and easy to understand! I can't wait to put everything into practice. I can highly recommend Olivia's workshops for anyone wanting to gain a better understanding of their camera" Louise Brogan-Hewitt  Love to Eat
