HERITAGE PHOTOGRAPHY FOR YORK MANSION HOUSE

This was a two day commission to capture an indepth image portfolio to support York Mansion House with it's brand awareness and marketing.  The first day focused on interiors and artefact details working methodically through the rooms and exhibition displays.  The property features a wide range of rooms including the vast state room through to the rennovated Georgian kitchens in the basement.  Each requiried a fresh approach and set up.  The second day was all about documenting the visitor experience and I worked with different model groups to capture the house from both an adult and family perspective.  As a documentary photographer at heart it is always my preference to capture people very naturally.  Therefore a big part of the pre-shoot production was setting up actual tours with the team so that the experience was as authentic as possible.  This enabled our models to forgot about the camera and engage fully in their surroundings.

Images have been used throughout the website, for advertising, marketing literature and posters.

"We approached Olivia with a demanding brief, which involved capturing the entirety of the Mansion House to build an image bank we can use across all our activity going forward. With no images in existence before, Olivia came in and completely blew us away with her incredible eye for detail, and the ability to calmly move from situation to situation. She effortlessly captured hero shots of the house – both interior and exterior - as well as beautiful archive images of our collections, and documentary shots of children exploring the house, and guided tours. Olivia’s style is perfect to show the beauty of an expansive space, picking out hidden details, and capturing those enticing shots to showcase the best you have to offer. We’re so excited to work with Olivia in the future”  Marketing Manager, York Mansion House
